Tuning your Piano
It is recommended that pianos are tuned every 6 months. As well as
keeping your piano in tune, 6 monthly tunings mean that any problems with your
piano can be diagnosed at an early stage and corrected before any damage is
caused.

A regularly tuned piano will be more stable and not go "out of
tune" as quickly as one which receives infrequent attention.
The following are some reasons why pianos will go out of tune
- Changes of humidity
- Changes of temperature
- Moving the piano
- Heavy handed players
Before Tuning
- A newly acquired piano should be in position for approximately 4 weeks prior to tuning.
- Consider whether you need the piano to be at concert pitch, essential if you wish to accompany other musical instruments.
- A normal piano tuning takes approximately 2 hours but it could be longer if the piano has not been tuned recently.
